WEEE Compliance
This notice applies only to products supplied by Origins Living that constitute electrical and electronic equipment ("EEE") falling within the scope of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations ("WEEE Regulations"). It does not apply to non-electrical products.
Origins Living classifies in-scope EEE as either household/B2C EEE or non-household/B2B EEE by reference to the product's design, specification, function and normal intended use.
Products suitable for both household and non-household use ("dual-use products") are normally treated by Origins Living as household/B2C EEE for WEEE reporting purposes, even where such products are supplied through trade, specification, contract or commercial channels.
Where products are classified by Origins Living as household/B2C EEE, the relevant producer obligations are managed through Origins Living's WEEE producer compliance arrangements.
Where products are classified by Origins Living as non-household/B2B EEE, the purchaser and/or final business end user accepts responsibility, unless otherwise agreed in writing, for arranging and financing the collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of such products when they become waste electrical and electronic equipment.
Any party reselling, supplying, installing or otherwise transferring non-household/B2B EEE must ensure that this responsibility is communicated to and accepted by the onward purchaser or final business end user.
Waste electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with general waste and must only be handled through appropriately licensed or approved waste management, recycling or treatment facilities.
