March 8^th is International Women’s Day – an event that is very close to my heart. It is a day that’s dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Importantly, this day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. I have long been a champion of supporting women to enable each and every one to fulfil their potential, wherever it may lie. I think it’s vital to celebrate our achievements, whenever and wherever they happen. In the luxury bathrooms industry so much progress has been made already, which of course is hugely encouraging. But there is still so much more to do.

At Origins Living, we do things differently. We get inspiration from outside our industry. We are influenced by fashion, art and interior direction. Ideas we see now, will be reflected in our bathroomwares product development over the next couple of years.

From New York's and London's September Fashion Weeks

to a bathroom interior near you – get prepared for the colours we predict will flow from the catwalks to the bathroom in 2020.

The Pantone Colour Institute for trend forecasting and colour consultancy’s reported on the top 12 colours we can expect to see from fashion designers’ Spring/Summer 2020 collections.

Here are the two sets of colours, I believe will work harmoniously in the wonderful world of bathrooms, one set from New York and the other set from London.

Fashion and interior shows have been going wild for white. Scroll on Instagram and pin on Pinterest where you won’t escape images featuring white outfits and home decor. And, what’s big in clothing and homewares doesn’t take long to flow into bathrooms.

So, we can see… white taps, accessories and framed mirrors… making a big splash in 2020 and beyond.

Style Hotel of the Year 2014, The Glasshouse Edinburgh has chosen our elegant Eletech range of bathroom accessories for their recent refit. This multi award-winning boutique hotel has a one-of-a-kind, two acre roof garden giving guests a spectacular view across Edinburgh.

We worked in conjunction with Glasgow’s Scope Bathrooms to provide a range of accessories for the Michelin starred restaurant The Peat Inn’s luxury suites.

Scope Bathrooms regularly specifies Origins Living products for hotels, and this most recent project has seen eight individually designed luxury suites supplied with items from the Sonia Tecno Project collection. The Peat Inn near St Andrews, Fife which dates back to the 1700s is owned by award winning Chef and columnist Geofrrey Smeddle and his wife Katherine.
